Work Review Comments
* We had a back yard with 12" of standing rain water after each event threatening our home. Of the many proposals and our own attempts, we selected Mike Landis' firms rain garden solution. His design and installation
created a beautiful mixed shrub/ perennial garden enjoyed both in rain and/or shine making the water problem past history. We appreciate his keen eye for design combined with a craftsman like approach assembling the garden.
After finishing the project he worked with us to understand fine points of the new drainage system and plant care.
Out of all our options, we are glad we chose to work with Mike's firm and would recommend them without hesitation.* VW
* Our house sits on the top of a slope. Having just added a front entrance portico, redesigning a non-de-script front yard was needed. On a good referral Mike Landis' firm provided the design, an innovative construction and plant installation completing a successful project every step of the way. The focal point was a stone wall/plant grouping tying the house to the street at the bottom of the slope by placing a wall on either side of the concrete steps with the tree and shrub behind each wall. Look forward to working on another project with you, thanks. *SG
* For years my backyard flooded causing lawn removal by erosion, problems with neighbors and tracking dirt in the house. After many companies attempts Mike's firm provided the success with a system of diversion swales, rain garden w/dam and erosion gravel fill technique's. To top off the design, a large vertical stone group was placed near the small temporary adsorption pond. I see it each morning and brought back memories of Colorado where I grew up. *LW
* "I'm so glad you moved to Winston Salem recently as your rain garden presentation to my Old Salem Garden Club members today 1/15/20 which gave us great hope you will be able to help us solve our future drainage problems. Thank you!" *PS
* "Here is a photo of water ponding along side of my garage. What is the right procedure used to remove the standing water permanently, asked a lady after my speaking engagement at the same O.S.G.C. meeting? In limited time we had a plan to solve her drainage problem - timely and cost effective. "JG
